THE 2ND ANNUAL HAYDEN RUN RELIEF SOCIETY BBQ RECIPES

Here are the long awaited BBQ recipes!!!! The turn out was great for the Second Annual Hayden Run Relief Society BBQ. Everyone attending had a great time. Here are the promised recipes from that night. Feel free to cut and paste the ones you are interested in or all of them. If you have great BBQ recipes to share add them to the thread/commend area.:) We welcome every one's ideas...it makes our lives easier to know what to cook when we want something new!:)

Okay okay...the recipes!!! Here they are.

1.
Fresh Fruit Salsa

1 Anaheim pepper, finely diced

1/3 whole pineapple, cored and finely diced

1 nectarine, finely diced

3/4 c. finely diced strawberries

1-2 kiwis, finely diced

1/2 purple onion, finely diced

1 mango, finely diced

all amounts are approximate, and to taste.Finish (perfectly balanced balsamic vinegar, 6% acidity), salt, lime juice, 1 tsp honey.Mix together and serve over grilled chicken.Compliments: Aubrielle P. and Michelle W., original recipe

2.
Veggies on the Grill

1 jar of Zesty Italian Dressing
Grated Parmesan Cheese, as much as you would like

Marinate all the veggies in the above two then put them on skewers before grilling.Veggies you can use: tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, onions, peppers, anything really.
Compliments: Aubrielle P.

3.
Marinated Chicken
(this makes a lot of marinade, you might want to half it for a smaller group)

16 oz. Soy Sauce
3 cans of 7 Up or Sprite
2 cups of Peanut Oil
½ cups of lemon juice
3 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tsp. Horseradish Powder ( I could not find this at the store so I substituted it for Wassabi Powder)
Let your chicken marinate over night for the best taste.
Compliments: Melissa S.

4.
Pizza Dough
1 cup warm water
1 pkg of Yeast or 2 ¼ tsp2 Tbs Olive Oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 ½ cups flour (Heidi used half whit and half wheat flour)

combine water yeast and sugar. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and combine until dough clings to side of bowl. Spray with cooking spray and let dough stand for 20 minutes. Roll out, top with sauce and toppings, bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes.
Compliments of Emily S.

5.
Pizza on the Grill
Preheat Grill to 400, it must be very hot.

Roll dough out with plenty of flour, so your dough is not too sticky.Rub Olive Oil on one side of dough and place dough on grill, oil side to the grill.Close the lid and let cook for about 2 minutes, rub Olive Oil on top and then flip, the olive oil keeps it from sticking to the grill. Then top your pizza with your favorite toppings and let it cook for at least another 5 minutes. Compliments of Heidi G.

Thank You for all the participants, cooks and recipe providers, guest, friends, Relief Society, and Margo. She does a great job planning and executing all our Relief Society activities. It makes her day when sisters show up to these activities!:)
