THE DAWN OF A NEW OPPORTUNITY- EMPLOYMENT

ACT QUICKLY!!! THIS MAYBE GONE SOON!!!

Our marketing guy is moving and we need someone to fill his position. He worked two different locations. Ideally, we would love to find someone who could also work both locations, but we are considering hiring two separate people fill this vacancy.

The first position is a marketing position at the condos we own on High Street. We have some vacants we want sold or rented in lease-to-purchase contracts. We already have the contracts drawn up and the sales prices. We just need someone in charge of marketing and showing the available units to potential buyers, and who can collect rents and make deposits from those that are currently in lease-to-purchase contracts. The previo us guy that worked this was a realtor, but the person who we hire to fill his position does not need a background in real estate. They just need a basic work background and can handle organizing data on spreadsheets and keeping track of money. This job also comes with free rent in one of the units we have available if someone is interested in that. The unit is a 2 bedroom, 1500 sq. ft. unit…very nice. We need this position filled in the next 2-3 weeks so we will be trying to interview as soon as possible.

The second position is at the apartments we own on the West side of Columbus, just north of Grove City. We need an office manager there who would be interested in working 20-30 hours per week. They would collect rent, show vacant apartments, and handle work orders, if tenants have water leaks, etc. We have a maintenance tech on site who knows how everything runs. This person would just need to keep track of work orders that the maintenance tech needs to do. This job pays more than minimum wage (but not a lot more). It is ideal for a single person who just wants a part time job, or a retired person who wants a part time job, or a spouse looking for a second income for the family….not for someone trying to support a family.

Jason has been looking for people and will probably handpick who he wants. However, thought you might know of some people looking for work in that area. If you want to pass this on to the church employment dept, please feel free. Like I said before, if someone wants to handle both jobs, that is ideal for us, and they would make more money doing so, obviously. However, we are willing to split it up and hire two separate people if we can’t find someone willing to take on both properties.

If you find someone who is interested they may email their resume to mcollier@gdgusllc. com or fax it to 740.775.3691.

Thanks!Mandy

I'm trying to set up a dry packing session for September 19th or 26th. I haven't gotten confirmation from the new Storehouse manager yet. Planto save both dates for now and I'll confirm as soon as I hear back. Just be aware that since the Storehouse dry packing facilities were out of commission for over a month and are just now coming back on-line, there will probably be a gazillion diligent Saints clamoring to replenish their food storage supplies. We need to be ready to take whatever datesare offered. In the meantime, if you are interested in participating, please print outthe attached order sheet and get it back to me ASAP so I can firm up whatproducts our ward members want and what quantities are needed. The manager will need all this info well in advance of any date we set up tomake sure adequate supplies are available for our dry packing session. (You can also go to www.providentliving .org and print out from FamilyHome Storage order form there.) The good news is that many of the food storage items we all want and needhave been reduced in price---some items are discounted up to 25% justsince February 2009. I would say that the leaders of the Church knowthat times are tough and are trying to help us access and eat healthyfoods for less $$$.
Thanks a bunch,
Sister Dragoo

Employment Workshop Reminder

Employment Workshop Reminder:

CONS employment specialists and other interested parties, This Saturday is our monthly multi-stake career development workshop in the Dublin building's Relief Society room. '
The workshop begins at 10am and will end at noon, with refreshments and time to talk/network following. The calendar tells us that this month's theme is career development. However, since we replaced last month's meeting (which was to have featured resumes) with the two day workshop, we are going to be covering resumes for most of the meeting.
Len Proper, Columbus Ohio Stake employment specialist and a professional employment expert, will be leading a question and answer session and the discussion about resumes. I will be hosting the meeting and reviewing what happened in July at the two day Career Workshop (which will be repeated often in future months in Columbus).
Much has taken place in the world since we last met. Economic trends are pointing up and employment opportunities should be opening up soon. Attendance at this workshop is one of the best ways to get ready to take advantage of this upward trend. I hope to see you all there!
Thanks,
Stephen K. CONS employment specialist
PS If any of you would like to volunteer to be our chorister for the one song we are going to sing (#128 When Faith Endures), please let me know so that I can put you on the agenda.
